The RDSRF-232-A4FZ is RS232 interface converter with single board high performance and low power serial to wireless solution. RS232 Interface Converter is a serial interface converter complete plug and play system where the user can connect two boards and start a wireless communication between them instantaneously. The RS232 serial converter can be integrated to existing systems without tedious software or hardware changes. These RS232 interface converter are intended to be used with systems which already have a RS232 interface. This RS232 serial converter has a link budget of 120dB making it suitable for applications that require a robust communication from a range of 100 meters to 500 meters line of sight.

The RDSRF-232-A4FZ device can be configured using a software configuration utility. Some of the features which can be configured are:

• Serial baud rate can be varied from 1.2 Kbps to 115.2 Kbps.
• Parity can be set to either Even, Odd or None.
• Stop bits can be set to either 1 or 2.
• RF baud rate can be set from 1.4 Kbps to 38.4 Kbps.
• RF channel can be varied from channel 1 to channel 18.
• RF output can be varied from -16 to +13 dBm.
• Options to set device address.
• Configuration of the device as transmitter, receiver or as repeater.
• User driven termination character for the transmission.
• PC COM port selection for communication.
